Schools and Studios

Dance has the profound power to enrich and transform lives, connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds; it is an art form that allows for the expression of individuals, communities and cultures, a defining aspect of being human. For this reason, Queensland Ballet love to connect people of all ages with ballet.

Developed by a team of highly experienced program managers, teaching artists, community engagement specialists and registered educators, all opportunities are underpinned by artistic excellence, authenticity, accessibility and creativity, delivering highly enjoyable and enriching activities for all students and children.

Schools

The focus of Queensland Ballet’s educational experiences is to complement and enhance the teaching and learning currently taking place in classrooms around the world.

Developed in consultation with teachers, Queensland Ballet provide a year-long calendar of events and specially crafted resources that offer school students insights and opportunities to learn, grow and have fun. Our array of experiences and opportunities include In-School workshops, Queensland Ballet Immersion Experiences, High School Work Experience Residencies and the Ambassador Program for Practicing Educators.

Studios

Queensland Ballet offers several enriching experiences for private dance studios and their students. These experiences are designed to create a supportive and encouraging environment in which our dancers, artistic staff and EdSquad can mentor, nurture and inspire the next generation of dancers.

Our Adopt-a-Dancer program provides a very special opportunity to develop a unique connection with one of the dancers from the Company.

Young people aged 2 - 17 are invited to join our very special year-round membership program, QB Junior Friends. With this program it’s not about how well you dance – it’s about having fun and exploring this wonderful art form. There are many benefits available so check them out and join today!

In 2018 we are also pleased to announce the launch of our QB Junior – Studio Friends program. This program is underpinned by a genuine interest in supporting and enriching dance studios where our youngest ballet fans, their parents/carers and teachers, mentors and coaches develop and apply their love of this wonderful art form on a daily basis. All studios with 20+ QB Junior Friends will receive a number of rewards and benefits.
