Work Experience and Internships —

Dance has the profound power to enrich and transform lives, connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds.

There are a breadth of roles within the dance and creative industries including:

  • Dancers
  • Choreographers
  • Dance teachers
  • Community dance practitioners
  • Costume, lighting and set designers
  • Arts administrators
  • Dance and arts researchers/academics/historians
  • Dance journalists/critics/publicists/photographers
  • Events producers
  • Stage managers

Queensland Ballet acknowledges its responsibility in nurturing the next generation of arts practitioners and administrators and providing opportunities to develop the Australian and international dance ecology. We do this through our High School Work Experience Residency program for Year 10 and 11 students and our internship programs for undergraduate university students.
