Under the guidance of Academy Director, Christian Tátchev, and sitting between Queensland Ballet’s Associate and Pre-Professional Programs, the Senior Program is comprehensively designed to develop students’ skills to the highest artistic and technical standards, offering initial preparation for a career in a professional ballet or dance company.
In partnership with Queensland’s Department of Education and Training, the Senior Program allows students to simultaneously undertake face-to-face senior academic studies at Kelvin Grove State College in years 10, 11 and 12.
With thanks to considerable financial and ideological support from the Premier and the State Government of Queensland, Queensland Ballet Academy has been recognised as a world-class ballet training organisation offering a comprehensive industry-aligned, professional training pathway for Queensland, national and international dance students.
