Queensland Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program is a full-time final year training program which provides students with the preparation and training they require before joining a professional ballet company.
Under the supervision of Artistic Director Li Cunxin, students work intensively with Artistic staff to develop their skills to the highest artistic and technical standards.
The training our students receive will prepare them for potential employment with Queensland Ballet, or any other Australian or international company. Daily training is provided by Queensland Ballet’s Artistic staff and the Company’s associate teachers.
Classes include: classical ballet, pointe work, pas de deux, male technique, repertoire, contemporary dance and body conditioning/Pilates. Students are given the opportunity to perform in Company productions and at other Queensland Ballet events.
Depending on a student’s age and progress during the year, participants may be encouraged to continue in the Program for a second year.
