Queensland Ballet Dance Camp - Canberra —

Queensland Ballet and Canberra Theatre Centre are pleased to be hosting a dance camp at the Gorman House Arts Centre from Tuesday 4 October to Friday 7 October for students aged 5 – 16 years. 

The aim of this dance camp is to help raise community awareness about ballet, and to reinforce the diverse technical and expressive skills of dance students in Canberra. Workshops and classes in ballet, production, wardrobe, jazz and contemporary dance will offer participants the chance to connect with Queensland Ballet, a vibrant, creative company which seeks to share the magic of ballet with our communities.

All skill levels are welcome. This camp is all about having fun while learning new technical skills from Queensland Ballet’s EdSquad. The camp concludes with a celebratory event giving participants the opportunity to share their new skills and learning outcomes with friends and families.

To secure a position, applicants are required to provide personal contact details as well as information to support their participation including:

• 100-word biography outlining any previous performing arts experience
• 100-word outline noting how participation in the camps will provide a genuine learning opportunity
• 100-word outline of future dreams/plans.

Participants will be required to pay a nominal participation fee of $180 to cover the full week of activities.
