The Ford Burnett Foundation

Thanks to a generous donation from the Ford Burnett Foundation, Queensland Ballet has established an on-site wellness facility, including a fully-equipped gymnasium, at the Thomas Dixon Centre. This has proved an invaluable resource to assist our dancers in maintaining optimum fitness levels and well-being during each demanding performance season.

The Jani Haenke Charitable Trust

A three-year transformational grant from the Jani Haenke Charitable Trust has enabled Queensland Ballet to establish an International Guest Artist program. This program brings greater versatility and depth to the senior tier of the Company, and allows our audiences to regularly enjoy international talent on the QB stage.

In 2013 and 2014, Huang Junshuang, former Principal at Houston Ballet, joined Queensland Ballet as its first Guest International Principal. In 2015, the Company is delighted to welcome Yanela Piňera, Principal Dancer with Ballet Nacional de Cuba.

Khitercs Hirai Foundation

The Trustees of the Khitercs Hirai Foundation have assisted dancers’ professional development by funding study tours for them to visit international companies and receive coaching from world-renowned teachers. Most recently, Company Dancers Vito Bernasconi and Sophie Zoricic have travelled to San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, National Ballet of Canada and American Ballet Theatre.

Oak Foundation

Oak Foundation funds organisations around the globe. Through its support of Queensland Ballet, Oak Foundation is enabling the Company to develop its training programs to a world-class standard. The Jette Parker Young Artist Program is named in honour of Jette Parker of Oak Foundation, whose visionary support has enabled this initiative.

In 2015, eight gifted young dancers will participate in the Program. They will work alongside the Company, receive extensive coaching, and perform in mainstage productions and in works created especially for them by international choreographers.

Queensland Ballet is also grateful to the Frazer Family Trust, Amanda Talbot, Lynn Harvey and the Patricia MacDonald Foundation for their generous contributions towards the Program.

Patricia MacDonald Foundation

A supporter of Queensland Ballet for many years, the Patricia MacDonald Foundation provides an annual gift to support the training of talented Young Artists as they embark on their professional careers.

RBS Morgans Foundation

The RBS Morgans Foundation is partnering with Queensland Ballet to enable the Company to engage pianists to provide live music in its studios, enhancing the rehearsal experience for our dancers and Artistic team.
