From the Artistic Director —

I’ve loved The Nutcracker since I danced in Houston Ballet’s 1979 production. The ballet is a magical fantasy which brings families together for a special time of shared enjoyment. The Nutcracker is our Christmas gift to Queenslanders, and I am delighted that our annual season has become a festive tradition in Brisbane.

 

Choreographer Ben Stevenson is a master at storytelling and creating unique characters. Legendary designer Desmond Heeley provided inspired costume designs for this produciton, which have been interpreted with great flair by Noelene Hill. Set Designer Tom Boyd created wondrous worlds which sparkle with lighting by David Walters.

This talented creative team, and our wonderful dancers, have given us a truly memorable Nutcracker.
