Young maiden Odette and her friends are victims of a terrible spell that turns them into swans by day, and only at night do they return to human form. To break the spell, the beautiful Odette must find eternal love.
After celebrating his birthday, Prince Siegfried comes across a lake where at midnight Odette transforms from a swan into a beautiful woman. Siegfried falls in love instantly but is tricked and betrayed by the seductive Black Swan, Odile.
True love prevails in this powerful story set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score. Ben Stevenson’s traditional production features exquisite dancing, beautiful costumes and spectacular sets.
After selected performances at QPAC, a panel of creative artists and dancers discusses aspects of the ballet you’ve just seen.
Informative, keepsake programs are distributed free-of-charge at all performances or you can read the full program online.
Company class is a daily ritual for our dancers, and many around the world.
