Why has ballet endured as an artform?
"Ballet, like other performing Arts, is a constantly evolving art form. But, the more it changes, the more it stays the same. Ballet will forever be based on the same fundamental techniques dating back to the 15th century. I find the most wonderful aspect of ballet is that, based upon this underlying technique, the artist has the creative freedom to produce his or her own individual art. So, whatever groundbreaking new choreography, or exquisite portrayal of expressions through movement, or story told without words might arise, they are all based upon existing technique. I believe that's how ballet has endured and I'm excited to be a part of this art form and hope to be a part of its evolution."
