Angus Lugsdin —
Angus Lugsdin trained initially with former Ballet Russe dancer Valrene Tweedie in Sydney before completing his training at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne.
Angus joined The Australian Ballet under the Artistic Direction of Dame Peggy Van Praagh in 1973 and danced with the company on its first tour of Russia and Eastern Europe. After many national and international tours later, Angus headed to Europe and joined the Frankfurt Ballet in 1978 where he continued dancing until 1984 when he joined Queensland Ballet as Ballet Master and dancer.
In 1987 Angus accepted the position of Co-ordinator and Senior Dance Instructor at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence where he remained until retiring from full-time dance teaching in 2015.
