Liam Geck
Company Artist

Liam Geck knew his passion for dance at an early age, beginning his training at Kick Dance Studio, Brisbane at only three years old.

He joined Queensland Ballet’s Junior Extension Program, participated in The Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program and graduated from the Queensland Dance School of Excellence in 2013.

Liam completed Queensland Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program in 2014. In the course of his studies, he has performed with the Company on numerous occasions, including in Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet and various featured roles in Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker (Fritz, Toy Soldier, Spanish Dancer and Chinese Dancer). Liam was also a guest artist in Ballet Theatre of Queensland’s season of The Sleeping Beauty in January 2015.

What inspires you to dance?

"I am constantly inspired everyday by different things, it could be the pieces we are working on, the music accompanying those pieces or even other people dancing around me. It's so difficult to pin point one constant source of inspiration because dance is so versatile and the movements can be different in every aspect."
